About World Health Awareness Team (WHATorg)
Bridging the Gap in Community Health & Global Relief
At the World Health Awareness Team (WHATorg), we believe that high-quality preventative healthcare and basic education are fundamental human rights, not privileges. Founded as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, WHATorg is dedicated to stepping into the gaps where systemic care falls short—delivering life-saving medical screenings, chronic disease education, direct disaster relief, and youth educational sponsorships to vulnerable communities across Florida and Haiti.
We don’t wait for families in need to find a way to healthcare; our mobile teams package medical expertise, critical supplies, and deep empathy to bring the care directly to them.
Our Core Pillars
1. Preventative Health & Mass Screenings
The most effective way to save a life is to catch a condition before it becomes an emergency. Our primary medical focus centers on combatting asymptomatic “silent killers” like hypertension (high blood pressure) and hyperglycemia/diabetes. By providing free public screenings and distributing personal monitoring equipment, we hand individuals the power to manage their own long-term health.
2. Immediate Crisis & Food Relief
Health cannot exist without basic security. Whether we are collaborating on local food drives for unhoused populations in Florida metro areas or landing on the ground in Haiti with immediate relief supplies following catastrophic natural disasters, we ensure that families have the physical nourishment and resources required to survive and stabilize.
3. Sustainable Educational Sponsorships
A community’s long-term health relies entirely on the future of its children. When funding deficits threaten to shut down community schools, leaving vulnerable youth or orphans completely without options, WHATorg steps in with full annual sponsorships to guarantee safe, continuous, high-quality early childhood education.
Our mission is mobile, bringing preventative care directly into underrepresented neighborhoods.
Where We Work
🇺🇸 In Our Local Communities: Florida, USA
Across Orlando, West Palm Beach, and St. Petersburg, WHATorg acts as a trusted community partner. We actively collaborate with regional clinics, local faith-based organizations, and fellow non-profits to host high-energy, accessible neighborhood health fairs and back-to-school events. From supplying children with academic tools to catching life-altering medical diagnoses in adults who were entirely unaware of their conditions, we strengthen the grassroots fabric of Florida every single day.
🇭🇹 On the Ground: Haiti
Our commitment to Haiti is permanent and deeply rooted. Three times every single year, our dedicated medical and executive teams travel directly to regions like Petionville and Marouge. Supported on-site by resident Haitian registered nurses and medical experts, we operate continuous health clinics, distribute free medical diagnostic tools (like glucometers), and secure the complete operational costs of local schools to protect the next generation.
The Values That Drive Our Team
- Radical Accessibility: We break down financial, geographical, and cultural barriers to ensure that medical resources are given freely to those who need them most.
- Empowerment Through Education: We don’t just screen and walk away. We provide the physical machinery (blood pressure cuffs, glucose monitors) and personalized medical counseling needed for self-care.
- Accountability & Agility: Backed by an executive leadership team that acts with absolute transparency, we take pride in our ability to pivot on the ground—funding immediate extra supplies out of pocket whenever our communities demand more.
