Whatorg’s Accomplishments

Our Accomplishments

Florida

Back to School:

July 29, 2023, Back to School/Health Screening event. WHATorg was invited by Iglesia Nueva Vida de Orlando for a fantastic event. Free backpacks containing school supplies were distributed to students, and free first aid kits were distributed to each family. Iglesia the Nueva Vida de Orlando ensured that the children had lots of fun, especially with the candy machine and the music. At the same time, Dna Serenity Care and WHATorg covered adult health teaching. We screened 35 adults, and most of them did well; however, many needed extra education concerning hypertension and hyperglycemia. We donated about 40 first aid kits. Three glucometers. It was an amazing event. My crew was excellent, especially Mr. Arol, our CFO, who spent extra on more first aid kits as many participants asked us for more.
Thank you, Iglesia Nueva Vida de Orlando, for this opportunity!

Food Drive:

2023 Food drive feeding the homeless. WHATorg collaborated with two other organizations Feed the Children Ministry and Heartbeat of Medicine to feed the homeless in the St Petersburg. Florida area and in the Orlando area.

Health Fair:

2022 Mass Screening in Orlando, Florida: 251 screened, 15 referrals to community care.

2019 West Palm Beach – 1000 screened and 200 referrals to community care.

2016 Mas screening in Orlando, Florida -400 screened 120 referrals to community care

Outcomes – 2022, 2019, 2016

A total of 1,651 participants, and 335 were found to need further testing, treatment, counseling for diabetes, and 56 were unaware of their diagnosis. As for hypertension, 150 were advised to seek medical treatment from a community center or return to their primary care provider. There were 17 participants who did not know of their diagnosis. 125 blood sugar machine (glucometer), and 55 blood pressure machines (sphygmomanometer) distributed during these screening events.

Haiti Visits:

Team members of WHATorg visit Haiti three times a year, conduct mass screening, distribute food and essentials, and provide relief after natural disasters.

WHATorg sponsors 100 children a year at the school “Univers des petit” in Petionville, Haiti. The school was closing due to lack of funding; the children would have been left with no education. Some of the children are orphans. They have no means of attending other schools. This sponsorship prevented a very heart-breaking situation.
WHATorg supported three consecutive graduations for children completing the third year of kindergarten. The goal is to expand the school to go beyond kindergarten.

Other counseling and support

From 2015 to 2019, 750 habitats of Marouge, Haiti were referred for treatment as well and received counseling by Dr. Wilbert Cadet and Dr. Aurel David. They were assisted by three registered nurses and one student nurse originating from and residing in Haiti.

225 glucometers were donated to the less fortunate habitats with instruction to follow up with the Haitian nurses for further education and maintenance.
